Established in 2019, Urban Angels (ageweb.care) aims to bring together all services related to the needs of the elderly. The team strives to make it easier for those in need to choose care, activities and new challenges related to aging. The services offered on our sites are useful for both users and service providers.

The Challenge

The initial idea was to have the Architecture run on App Engine Standard, but that was switched to Flex due to the specifics of October CMS(Laravel). After a few changes to the app.yaml and the October CMS repository, the application was ready for the migration from the test environment and a live deployment.

The Solution

By using and utilizing the knowledge and documentation, as always, working with GCP was a breeze. The specifics of the selected OctoberCMS(Laravel) were quickly resolved and the deployment is a success.

Cloud Office Sr. Cloud Architect created the Architecture and set up all related elements in order for the deployment to go through. We worked closely with the customer and development team to ensure a successful deployment.

The Results

October CMS(Laravel) is now running on App Engine Flexible with a connected SQL instance and Storage bucket for backups and static data. All IAM and Admin policies are in place and the application is running successfully.
